Audition For Disney Channel Movies: Where To Find Them & Things You Need To Know

Auditions For Disney Channel Movies – what you can do to make it happen for you!

There are a number of ways you can go about getting yourself an audition for the Disney Channel and if you are serious about it, it would be a good idea to do as much as many of these things as you can, there is really no telling which method will get you your big break.

1. You should get professional headshots taken and then along with your resume (which you should staple neatly to the back of your photo) you can send these along with a brief cover letter introducing yourself and explaining what you are interested in to talent agents or casting directors. You should do some research to find out if there are specific agencies that work a lot with Disney. For example:

Goldwasser/Meltzer Casting
5800 W. Sunset Blvd. Building 11, Suite 201
Hollywood CA 90028

It is a good idea to keep in mind that these people receive a large volume of letters, emails and calls from people who want to audition for Disney. So be respectful and be careful not to harass them, it’s definitely a good idea to be enthusiastic but you do not want to be annoying.

2. Consider doing some work as an extra. It’s a great way to get the experience of being on a set and working in a professional environment, if you are willing you will learn a lot. It is also all experience that you can add to your resume and you never know what opportunities could come out of it. You can register in person at places like,

Central Casting
220 S. Flower Street.
Burbank CA 91502
Registration info: 818 562 2755

When you register in person always be sure to be polite, even if it is to the girl at the front desk- it is really important to make a good impression on everyone, after all you want to be remembered for the right reasons.

3. Sign up online for notices about Disney casting calls and see if you can get an audition for yourself if you don’t have an agent. Disney even holds world wide casting calls (this is how Selena Gomez got her big break) so keeping up to date with your research is an essential part of getting your career started. Although the fun part if the acting and performing its also important to keep in mind that acting is a business and there are business aspects of it that either you or your agent need to take care of.

4. One of the easiest things you can do, and that you should always be doing is to be in training. Take classes in acting or singing or dancing, whatever it is that interests you. If you are not sure what interests you then taking classes is a great way to find out and could save you a lot of time and money in the future. Your education in the arts will eventually be a solid building block for your career and through classes and working with experienced professionals you will only get stronger and stronger. If you put the time in you will be so grateful for the pay-off and you will have lots of fun in doing so!
